How to Become a Street Artist and Make a Living at It

Improve your skills -- Before you even think about being a street artist, you must be sure you have the best skills you could possibly have. Take classes, watch videos about drawing and painting and, of course, practice, practice, practice. Street art is all about being able to create something beautiful and be able to do it quickly. So the better your skills, the more chance you have of being able to do both.

Learn sales skills -- Part of being successful as a street artist is being able to sell your work. Unless you are a born salesman, however, that is not always easy. Do be sure to learn about sales before you start to sell your art work, as these skills could help you sell even more. Take a sales class, or sign up for a course on the Internet.

Make sure you have the right patch -- Research an area before you decide to apply for a license to be a street artist there. Be sure it is in a prime place for getting a lot of foot traffic, and for being a place where people may actually be likely to stop and to buy
